# Will there be another CE 5 release?

We plan to roll out Payara 5 Community Edition in the next weeks. Is it planned to have nother CE release before Payara 6 is released, so waiting a bit longer makes sense? (No, we definitively do not want to go with Payara 6 _now_, for several reasons).

Hi,
We plan to release Payara Community 5 regularly, roughly once a month until Payara 6 is released later this year. Once a final version of Payara 6 is released, there will be no more releases of Payara 5. We didn’t release a new version in January but we’re going to release a new version 5.2022.1 this month, probably next week.
