Rudy blogged in November 2021 that Payara 5 CE can be run on JDK17. I am curious about any actual feedback on that. Do you run 5 CE on JDK17? Did you face problems? Did you notice performance gains?

It seems I am a bit late to the party, but I was just browsing the forum and saw this.
I can give you some preliminary feedback about this.
A couple of months ago I decided to migrate some apps from to JSK 17 on Payara CE, using the latest 5.2022.1 at that time.
In the preliminary tests I have run, eveything seemed to be running fine, except that I have bumped into a temporary deal breaker: I have found that, for some reason, applications in JDK 17 take a lot longer to deploy to Payara.
This seems to be affecting only Windows machines and not Linux-based ones. But since I use a Windows machine to develop I will have to temporary postpone this update.
